Twenty-five years as a technical institute
The Institute celebrated its 25th anniversary under the theme Breaking Barriers, Leading Change, with a grand durbar on 8 June 2024.
The school began as a girls' boarding middle school in the early 1960s, became a home science centre, then a technical and vocational institute in the 1980s, and a fully fledged technical institute in 1998.
At the anniversary the Principal called on government and partners to invest more in technical and vocational education and training in northern Ghana.
